December 14, 1972 - August 20, 2022
Michael was born December 14, 1972. He was very active, and enjoyed playing pranks on the family, way before pranking came out on the internet. He always kept you laughing.
Michael has gone on to be with The Lord, joining his Father, John Newman Sr., and his son Micheal L. King Jr., in Heaven.
He leaves to mourn, his son, Marlon Brown, his Mother and Step Father, Sally and Adrian Proctor, his siblings, John Newman Jr. Dewey Newman, Tyrone Newman, Angelita Newman, and Kia Jones, a sister-in-law (Monique), and a brother-in-law (Dominique), and extended brother and sister, Ronald and Shamika Stalling, and his fur brother and sister, Chico and Trixie, 6 Aunts, Paulette Cooper, Pearl, Cynthia, Vivian, and Deborah King, and Delores Newman, 3 Uncles, William and Donald Newman, and Ananias Cooper, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Michael attended Maryland Elementary and Junior High Schools, and graduated from Crossland High School.
Michael started a lot of small jobs, until he decided to join the Army, which he really loved After the military, he worked for a short time for Bell Atlantic, before becoming ill. Michael was a fighter.
He fought through his illness enough to make it home, and although he remained in a wheelchair, he was still enjoying his life to the fullest, with the help of his Mother and family members for a total of 17 years.
Michael will be missed by many, and as he would always say, "I'm OK, don't worry about me."
Funeral services will be held in our chapel on Friday, September 9, 2022 with a viewing at 10:00 am and service at 11:00 am. Interment will be private.
